A Rare Event - a sale at Honeybee Toys!

Abel Blocks are one of the best sellers in our current Black Friday Sale where you will find lots of goodies at 40% off.

If you know Honeybee Toys at all you will also know that sales are extremely rare for us - in fact we have only had 3 sales in 20 years of trading - a tiny one with 20 discontinued products 5 years ago and two this year for our 20th birthday anniversary including our current one. We don’t actually believe in sales especially Black Friday and the fast consumerism mentality, because beautiful handmade toys are for life and last through generations of children. Sales don’t in general respect all the hard work and creativity of the makers and their work. In fact they diminish them.

But we also must acknowledge that 2024 has been a tough year for Australians with rising interest rates not coming down. So for us this sale is a small way to give back to our Community but also of course it helps us too. We are a small business with 2 staff in store and four full time, two part time in our warehouse (which serves our wholesale arm as well as retail) and we really appreciate your support!

20 years ago there was barely a wooden toy to be found in Australia. Being ambassadors for open ended play and sustainable toys has been and continues to be our life’s mission. Thank you for your passion for what we do and for your ongoing love of openended play and beautifully made toys.
